| There are 3 nine hole courses, each named after orchids, the Aranda, Vanda and Dendro. The courses were designed under the personal guidance of The President of Singapore, Mr. Ong Teng Cheong. The Aranda Course was the first to be completed and it has wide fairways and huge greens where two putts is not a guarantee as the average green measures about 700 square metres. The Vanda Course is the shortest measuring 3,027 metres in length for the nine holes for par 36. Though short in length, you have to be mentally tough to manage the course to play well in order not to land in the numerous water hazards. The Dendro Course is the longest par 37 course (3,262 metres) and have the honour also to have the longest par 5 (hole no. 3) at 590 metres length. If you are teeing off from the blue tee at no. 3, the average golfer needs a driver to clear the ladies tee and it is here jugs of beers are lost. In addition there is a 4-hole practice course for the beginners, PC holders and Juniors |
